Radio Operations: "No Communication - No Mission"

Picture
Harris RF 350K High Frequency Radio
The ground radio operators of the 37th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron supported the mission by providing communication services primarily through High Frequency (HF) radios like the one pictured to the left.  Radio Operators were responsible for transmitting patient data through the aeromedical system via encrypted devices.  Training consisted of wave propagation, radio log evaluations, encryption training, antenna classes and field training exercises (FTX).
