Wow, I just found this website by accident. How many other former members don't know about it?

It's been on my heart to see if there was a 37 AEG site for quite awhile. I am sorry that I missed the 2011 reunion and I would like also to be included in future reunions. Being a part of the 37th was a special time in my life.

I was one of the original members of the 37th AEG (when it was known as the 37 TAES). I served as one of the Flight Instructors/Flight Examiners and was the assistant NCOIC of Stan/Eval with SMS Talmund in the 70's.

In 1972 my last name was Lohr. I remember the name SMS Talmud. I also remember that while I was in the unit the question of the day was what MAJCOM do we belong to today? I thought the 37th was not a group at that time. Unfortunately because of the short duration of my time in the unit I did not become familiar with a lot of the med crew members. Who was our commander? I am still trying to remember the names of the two people I drove to UTA with from Tallahassee. It was not until later that I became familiar with the term Stan/Eval. How is SMS Talmund?

Great site. The 37th AEG was apart of my life and I will never forget the friends I made. I hope you can add Jack White to the "In Memorium" section. He was in the Comm Section during the 80's. Took part in Desert Shield/Storm and died several years after returning from Saudi Arabia.

I joined the unit (37th MSS at the time) In December 1972, transferred briefly to Mccoy AFB (420th MSF) and returned to the 37th. Left in 1976.

Just a date correction - - - Joined the 37th MSS in December 1970, not 1972 as previously noted.

I was there when we went through the transition to the 37th. Any one know how I can get a hold of records from 1969 through 1971. And what ever happened to then Capt. Brady? He's the one that wanted to make General, without ever serving on active duty!

Maybe not the correct place to ask, but I am looking for a Phillip Thomas who was in the 37th in the mid-to-late 80s. If anybody might have any information about contacting him, I would greatly appreciate it.

I was a member of the 37th AEG from 1972 to about 1974. I was living in Tallahassee at the time. My last name was Lohr. I remember our annual tour was at Westover. The Air Force Times did a write up on us and my picture was in the article. I attended flight nurse school in 1972. I then went to the 70th AEF and on to 40th AES where I was the ART nurse. While I achieved tri-qualification I loved the C-130. Of course back then it was A and B models. Are there any other people on this group who were in the 37th when I was there?
